We just finished a remix for Dutch ska band Ska d'lite. "Wheel of Fortune" will be featured on their forthcoming album. And we reshaped the track "Circus" from reggaeband Zebra for their new single on Marista records.

Not Easy At All Productions just finished the work on the new album of Surinam reggeasinger no.1,

. The album, which is called Bosie Mi, features a.o. Kenny's hitsingles and also 6 exclusive riddims we wrote and produced. Also on the album a great collabo with Jamaican singer Luciano which we recorded last september in the Not Easy Dubshelter.

The Kraak & Smaak track Squeeze Me is used in an add campaign for US download service Rhapsody. Also featured in the add is a track by David Bowie.

I have just finished a remix for one of the best Dutch soul vocalists;

. The song "Shame" is one of the stand out tracks on her new album "Livin' It" which is released on Red Ink/Sony/BMG. "Shame" is an organic, funky track with very powerfull vocals (think Jill Scott, Alicia Keys) and I really wanted to keep the vocal arrangement intact for this remix. That took me while to get it right but the result is a laid back pop meets dancehall mix......or something like that. Anyway.....

Two months ago I made together with Tommie Freke some music for a short animation movie called "Pech" (Bad Luck) This movie was made bij two childeren from refugees in Holland and is part of a project called Zwart/Wit TV. The animation was made entirely with candy (which we ate after the shoot) and is really nice. The remix of the Mimezine track Can't Get Enough that Kraak & Smaak did last year is now released on the double cd "Kraak & Smaak Remix Sessions". I've just finished a remix for a band from Tempe/Arizona; ICEPAW. This is a great and very divers band which plays triphop/downtempo and a lot of other things. Definitely worth to check! The original of "Kamala" is a nice intimate song in 7/8 with just vocals and kalimba. After an attempt to make it an afrobeat dance track, it became a loungy, disco song. Most of the work I did shortly after the Kraak & Smaak U.S. tour near a swimmingpool in Hollywood, L.A....... aaaah sometimes life's not easy..... You can check the remix

I am involved with a community art project called Post Zuidlanden.

This project is located in an area near Leeuwarden which was developed by farmers for ages but will now be used as buildingplace for a lot of new homes. There we will be 15 mobile homes, each decorated by an artist. Every cabin will show a different aspect from this transition from agricultural life to a highly developed living area. Today I finished a remix for Wackmobile, a metal band signed to The Electric Co./Universal. The original was a pretty heavy track which reminded me a little of Tool. Reshaped it to a dubby lounge track...

At the start of this new year Kraak & Smaak will be all over Groningen. First we do a show on Eurosonic on the 11th, which will be broadcasted in a lot of European countries. And on the 13th we are the closing act on the Noorderslag Festival. See you there!
