Hi there, my name is Marc Baronner, I am a freelance songwriter, producer and bassplayer. I started making music at the age of 14 and since then I've had the privilege of working with bands and artists in a wide variety of genres. It made me a versatile musician and I am still learning every day! It's a challenge for me to create a "cutting edge" pop song as well as programming a wicked dance beat or an abstract soundscape. Or all combined :-) The last decade I toured the world with bands like Mimezine (electropop), Junkie XL (dance) and Kraak & Smaak (funked up breakbeats).
I currently focus more on (song) writing and producing. With Not Easy At All Productions, I wrote and produced reggae music for a lot of (Inter)national artists. Final release of this collective will be an album with former Aswad singer Brinsley Forde (23th of July/Unversal Music U.K.), we've also worked with veterans like Junior Murvin, Apple Gabriel (Israel Vibration) and countless others.
I make music and soundscapes for theater (a.o. 5e Kwartier, Koersk Monologen), dance companies (a.o.VOS, Soosan Gilson), commercials (a.o. Pisang Ambon, KBC Bank), Cinema (a.o.
